Q153: Hidden Treasure

Did you do this when you were younger?  I tried it a few times.  No luck.  (We found a button once.  It was not old or worth anything.  We thought we might be able to find more, though, and envisioned finding an entire buried person.  It didn't happen.)

This person apparently hit the historic jackpot.

Read and respond.

  1. The link to the page was redirected elsewhere, so I googled "Austria buried treasure" and clicked the first link, from 2011. Of course I went treasure hunting as a kid, from pirate booty seeking on the beaches to National treasure style searches. My uncle actually made a really cool fake newspaper headline with a picture of myself and my cousins that read about us finding a priceless item on the beach. I thought it was legitimate until I was about 10. Nevertheless, there was always a part of me that believed we would find something that I can attribute to cool stories like these. This is a true Hollywood script.

  2. I think that this has always been all children favorite game when they are young. One time when my family was on vacation we found a map (put there by my parents) that led us to a near by island. We spent the whole day on the island searching and eventually we found a treasure chest that held a bunch of toys. It was an amazing vacation and it was so much fun for my brother, my sister, and I.
