Time posted several photos online of the recent tragedy. Which ones moved you the most?
For some reason, the radiation check ones hit me the hardest. Maybe that's because in the other photos, we're getting used to destruction or maybe the damage is already done in those scenes. There is something chilling about the people checking for radiation.

I definitely agree with you in terms of the radiation. In the other pictures, you can clearly see what has happened where radiation is a fearful guessing game. Also, the up-close pictures of people and their faces really moved me. The sadness and despair within their eyes was very great. On top of that, the people carrying their belongings alongside little children is a sad sight anywhere, especially a generally prosperous country. All of those things just go to show the gravity of the earthquake and tsunami. Another picture that moved me was the empty shelves. So many thoughts ran through my mind causing me to feel all the more sad for the people of Japan.
