Q128: One Messed Up Trial

A young woman Raechel Betts was murdered.  The details to the murder are documented in the article below.

The trial itself has the basis for one messed up film.  The woman apparently had been known to concoct wild stories including befriending crime underworld leaders.  The question of her involvement in the drug trade has been unanswered.  (One of the murderers was definitely involved in meth distribution.)  Child care endangerment issues have been raised, including the possibility she photographed some of the children in sexual positions and placed these photos on the internet.  No evidence has been presented yet in the trial that would support this.

Read and respond.

Here are the crime details/overview:

  1. The trial is complicated enough let alone the murder itself. I agree that this would make a great movie as it involves very creepy things done by people who seemed normal. Besides the person known to be a drug dealer, the victim, along with some of the murderers seemed normal and led daily lives that involved children and other innocent people. The alleged crimes regarding these kids are gross and it is sad that someone who is trusted to help children would do that. The whole situation is strange and needs a very thorough series of investigations.
