Q116: Fun in Snow

Would this work in Rochester?  I think I'd be angry if I were this lady with the red umbrella.

Japan has invented a snow festival to make the snowy months more pleasant.  What do you think?

Read and respond.

  1. This is a pretty good concept by a government for keeping up morale. Of course, it is not the only one out there as even Rochester has its own special snow events. Obviously, more could be made, especially on a bigger scale. Either way, I think such festivals would be a good utilization of the snow and would make people happy as many, including myself, can lose some of that happiness in the winter. Overall, I think the interesting part of the story involves the fact that this festival is unique in its use of alcohol compared to other areas of Japan. That is pretty interesting and apparently uncommon. All in all, this was a great piece to read.
