According to a recent article, Zhang Yimou has hired Christian Bale for an upcoming movie about the Nanjing Massacre. The writer makes some interesting observations about Bale's career and his attachment to China.
(I'm stifling sarcasm.) (No, I'm not. Bale, in my opinion, is the kiss of death on a film and normally Yimou is not an insane man. Am I the only one who yelled, "Limp, Christian, LIMP!" throughout 3:10 to Yuma? Apparently talentless hacks are "in" at the moment.)
